Rainwater is a natural resource that can be collected by every home - and provides real cost savings to homeowners.

The Queensland Government is currently examining water resources and focusing on demand reduction and water storage infrastructure. All homes are being encouraged to harvest rainwater and if this were to take place, demand on existing infrastructure could be reduced by up to 30%.

Harvested rainwater can be used to water the garden, top up the pool, wash the car or as drinking water. With additional plumbing and pump, rainwater can also be used for the washing machine, to flush toilets and other uses inside the home. SLIMLINE have a huge product range, available in capacities from 550L up to 5400L.

An average 4 person household uses around 7,000 litres of water per week. As a guide, a 5,000 litre tank can supply the water for all non-drinking household use such as flushing toilets, washing clothes, watering gardens and washing cars etc. A 3,000 litre tank is suitable if you want to use the water for some household use such as toilet flushing and watering a small garden area. The 550L tank is ideal for smaller homes to provide additional water for drinking or the garden and fits neatly beneath building eaves.
